The Atletico Madrid forward scored in the first minute against Barcelona last night, with fans of his former clubs taking to social media.
Fernando Torres has seemingly been reborn since returning to boyhood club Atletico Madrid earlier this month and scored his third goal for the Spaniards against Barcelona last night.
The well-taken strike, which unbelievably came after only 38 seconds of the clash at the Estadio Vicente Calderon, follows two goals against Real Madrid in the last round – both of which were in the first minute of their respective halves.
Torres has now scored all three attempted shots at goal since moving back to Atletico, giving him a 100 per cent strike rate and leaving the problems he suffered at Stamford Bridge behind.
Atletico were still eliminated from the Copa del Rey after losing 3-2 to Barcelona on the night, 4-2 on aggregate following a 1-0 defeat at the Camp Nou last week.
