Support is to cease for two prominent Vita applications
Sony has announced an end to support for two of the PlayStation Vita’s apps is on the cards this year.
According to the company, a software update arriving in March will disable all features in the Maps application as well as the associated location focused features of the Near app.
On April 20th this year support is then to end entirely for the Sony Handheld’s YouTube app, and as of today, January 28th Vita owners will no longer be able to download it. You will of course still be able to access Youtube via the Vita’s browser although accessing the site in this way isn’t fully Vita optimised, making navigation to features such as Watch Later videos or subscribed channels more of a chore.
