Paulinho has been linked with a departure from Tottenham this month.
The Brazilian midfielder has never really impressed since moving to White Hart Lane, and the Standard have linked him to a number of clubs across Europe.
Having yet to start a Premier League game this season for Spurs, it is clear that head coach Mauricio Pochettino has no intention to keep the Brazilian international as part of his first-team, and a transfer seems inevitable.
And now it appears as if he could be heading to Inter’s local rivals AC Milan, or La Liga side Valencia, with LanceNet claiming that both clubs are now in for his signature, and are preparing to make formalised offers in the coming days.
The same report references interest from Sao Paulo and Cruzeiro, but they have now pulled out of any potential deal, but the two European clubs are said to be in the hunt for him - and are likely to sign him.
With Paulinho’s international future in doubt due to his lack of playing time - he has struggled for matches since the beginning of the World Cup - he will undoubtedly agree to an exit from North London, but there is no indication as to whether he would prefer a move to Spain or Italy.
