Reports suggest that Crystal Palace won't allow Frazier Campbell to join QPR.
Campbell, 27, joined Palace in the summer, leaving Cardiff City upon their relegation for an immediate return to the Premier League.
Yet with just three goals in 17 appearances for Palace, his future has been in doubt of late, particularly with Palace pursuing ex-Newcastle striker Shola Ameobi on a free transfer.
Reports on Tuesday night suggested that, with Palace eager to sign QPR midfielder Jordon Mutch, their London rivals wanted to take Campbell in part-exchange.
That appeared to be a reasonable compromise, with QPR in desperate need for attacking reinforcements despite signing West Ham's Mauro Zarate earlier this month.
However, the Daily Mail report that Palace are reluctant to let Campbell move to West London, and appear to be pursuing a £5.75m cash deal for Mutch instead.
The former Manchester United striker has had little impact at Palace so far, but having started against Southampton in the FA Cup last weekend, it appears that there could yet be a future for Campbell at Selhurst Park under new manager Alan Pardew.
