Report: Chelsea target Cuadrado linked to Manchester United for €29m plus Januzaj

Could Manchester United beat Chelsea to Juan Cuadrado?

Fiorentina's Juan Cuadrado is being linked with a switch to Manchester United, report Italian website Tuttomercatoweb.

The winger has recently been connected with a mid-season transfer to Chelsea, with SkySports reporting he was keen on a move to the Premier League leaders.

Chelsea however have not yet met the Colombian's release clause, and Fiorentina are reportedly weighing up their options to cash in on the World Cup star.

Tuttomercatoweb cite Florence based newspaper La Nazione's report that Fiorentina are to offer Cuadrado to Manchester United, in the hope of also receiving a player in part-exchange.

The report states they will consider selling Cuadrado to Manchester United if the Red Devils agree to pay €29 million, and loan them Adnan Januzaj until June 2016.

Januzaj has been out of favour at United this season under Van Gaal, and while the possibility of the Belgian going out on loan has so far been resisted, using him as a pawn to get a star like Cuadrado may prove tempting.

Cuadrado was linked to Manchester United by The Times last summer. The Red Devils are yet to make a splash in the transfer window, their only addition being former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes as a free agent.
