Predicted Swansea line-up to play Southampton: Montero and Shelvey to start

Match between Swansea City and Southampton to be played on Sunday 1st February 2015 at 16:00. Venue: St. Mary's Stadium, Southampton.

Swansea City travel to St Mary’s on Sunday as the clubs return to Premier League action following their FA Cup exploits.

Both these sides crashed out of the cup last weekend, with Swansea losing 3-1 to Blackburn Rovers and Southampton losing 3-2 to Crystal Palace, so it will be interesting to see who gets back to winning ways quicker.

Swansea are currently ninth in the Premier League having picked up 30 points from their first 22 matches.

That said, their last league match was a 5-0 defeat to Chelsea and with the cup shock just a few days later Garry Monk will want to stop the rot.

That will not be easy at St Mary’s against a Southampton side who continue to impress.

Gylfi Sigurdsson and Kyle Bartley are both suspended for this match while Ki Sung-yueng is on international duty and Wayne Routledge is out with a calf problem.

Ashley Williams has a shoulder injury but has a 75 per cent chance of being fit.

With that in mind, here is the line-up we predict Monk will opt for this weekend:

Predicted Swansea City starting line-up: Fabianski, Tiendalli, Fernandez, Williams, Taylor, Carroll, Shelvey, Dyer, Montero, Oliveira, Gomis
