Yorkshire media round-up: Leeds newboy on what's most important to him at Elland Road

We bring you the latest news from Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United.

Ngoyi wants to play

Leeds United newboy Granddi Ngoyi says that he wants regular first-team football at Elland Road, having completed his transfer from Palermo.

Ngoyi rarely featured for his former side this campaign and he has spoken of his desire to play more often now he has moved to England.

“The most important thing for me is to play because I didn’t have that chance in Italy," he told the Yorkshire Evening Post

Gray pleased with rumours

Stuart Gray insists that he is pleased with the speculation surrounding some of his key stars at Sheffield Wednesday.

The likes of Keiren Westwood and Tom Lees have both been linked with Premier League moves and Gray feels that is an indication of how far the club have come in recent times.

“It’s good when you are asking me about them," he said to the Sheffield Star. "It means they must be performing well. Probably this time last year, you would not have been asking that question. It shows how far we have come as a football club.”

Brayford wants automatic promotion

Sheffield United's newest addition John Brayford believes that automatic promotion is not off the cards for the Blades this season.

Nigel Clough side are currently 18 points behind second placed Bristol City, but Brayford has not given up hope of catching the top two.

"That (automatic promotion) is no way out of the question," he said to the Yorkshire Post

“To achieve something like that, you have to think you can achieve it – and I do. If we don’t make it then I am sure we will be pushing like hell to make it."
