Arsenal player Theo Walcott has been talking to the Daily Star about his Gunners’ teammate Tomas Rosicky.
The 34-year-old scored a fantastic goal in the FA Cup fourth round match against Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday, and Walcott has revealed that the build-up to the goal is seen regularly in Arsenal training.
“Of course, that’s what Tomas does in training all the time, looking the other way when he’s passing the ball,” the England international said.
“It gets me all the time. He’s got that quality going forward. I love the way Tomas just turns and breaks with it”
Rosicky has been used sparingly this season, making 14 appearances in total but turning out only seven times in the Premier League and racking up just 632 minutes on the pitch.
His goal against Brighton was only the second he has managed all season but it showed he remains an important part of this Arsenal team and one who can create something out of nothing.
With the Gunners continuing their assault on three competitions this season, Rosicky is likely to have more chances to make the difference between now and May, with those training ground moments of magic possibly replicated on a match-day once more.
