Tottenham midfielder Nabil Bentaleb has shown his quality with an outstanding goal for Algeria against Senegal.
Algeria needed a win over Senegal tonight to guarantee their progression into the knockout stages of the Africa Cup of Nations, and they got that with a 2-0 victory.
After an 11th minute goal from Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez, Algeria sealed a comfortable win with Nabil Bentaleb hammering home a superb drive from the edge of the box.
The 20-year-old, who has recently been a key figure for Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, was born in France but chose to play for Algeria through his parents.
After being named in Vahid Halilhodzic's squad for the 2014 World Cup, Bentaleb was again called up by new manager Christian Gourcuff for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
Starting in midfield alongside Mehdi Lacen and Saphir Taider against Senegal, Bentaleb played a key role in Algeria's win.
With just eight minutes to play, Bentaleb wrapped the game up, driving a left footed shot into the far corner - again showing his quality which Spurs fans have been watching all season long.
With Bentaleb now impressing in the Premier League and on the international stage, Pochettino will be delighted with the midfielder's development this season.
