Tottenham Hotspur morning round-up: Townsend eyes Wembley final, battle for Destro

Andros Townsend has told the Daily Mail he believes Tottenham’s character will help them into the League Cup final at Wembley.

The Metro suggests that the calibre of players Roma are being linked with suggests that letting Destro go is a real possibility.

Sheffield United boss Nigel Clough has warned his team ahead of the game this week, suggesting to the Guardian that Spurs will be on ‘high alert’.

Clough expects a response from Tottenham after the Leicester defeat, but remains confident his team can cause an upset.

Clough insists that every single member of his playing squad is looking forward to the game.
