Yevhen Konopylanka's move to AS Roma appears to be on the verge of completion.
They claim that Konoplyanka is on his way from Dniproprovetsk to have a medical with Roma and a deal will be completed either today or tomorrow.
It comes on the same day that Dnipro general director Andrei Stetsenko admitted he might be on the way to Rome. He told the club's official website that an agreement was close.
During last year's transfer window the flying Ukrainian winger was strongly linked with a move to Liverpool. The Guardian reported that the Anfield club 'failed' with a £16 million approach for the player on Transfer Deadline day.
Meanwhile Tottenham have been recently linked to the player, who has torn England apart in recent meetings between his national team, Ukraine. The Daily Mail recently reported that, with Konoplyanka's contract expiring in the summer, Tottenham were eyeing up a £7 million move for the player this month.
Now it looks as though their is very little chance of the talented wide man from making his way to the Premier League. Roma have themselves a talent on their hands and both Premier League sides may rue their missed opportunity in years to come.
