Reported Tottenham Hotspur target Mattia Destro is keen to stay in Italy if he does move this transfer window, according to the London Evening Standard.
Destro is said to be on Mauricio Pochettino's wish list by TalkSPORT, but his hopes of signing the striker appear limited due to his reluctance to leave his homeland.
At the moment Destro is playing with Roma and, although the Serie A giants are apparently hoping to cash-in on him, he allegedly wants to remain in Italy.
The news may be a blow for Tottenham, who are desperately trying to improve their attacking threat by making additions.
Harry Kane has been the only striker in the Spurs squad who has hit the back of the net with any regularity so far this campaign and Pochettino knows that this is an area of the squad that needs to be upgraded.
Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor are the Lilywhites' two reserve forwards, but neither have shown anywhere near the quality needed to represent a side challenging for the Champions League.
Destro, himself, has managed just five goals in 20 games this term and if he does move he will be wanting to start scoring more often.
