Crystal Palace are reportedly set to complete a £3.4m deal for Lille left back Pape Souare.
According to the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace will send a delegation to Equatorial Guinea in order to complete a deal for Lille left back Pape Souare.
New Eagles boss Alan Pardew has already completed a loan deal for Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo, but certainly needs more additions.
Adding a natural left back appears to be on Pardew's transfer wish list, but a deal for Swansea City's Neil Taylor appears to have hit a stumbling block in the last few days.
Pardew has now turned his attention to Souare, and a £3.4m deal appears to be on the verge of completion, with Palace sending a delegation of officials over to Equatorial Guinea in order to conduct a medical with the defender.
The 24-year-old is currently playing with Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations, and Palace will complete the medical after their match against Algeria today, according to reports.
Souare is a pacey left back with a penchant for getting forward, and his potential arrival would allow right footed Joel Ward to move back over to the right hand side having filled in at left back for some time now.
With the medical seemingly scheduled, Souare's arrival could be confirmed in the coming days as Pardew continues to reshape his squad at Selhurst Park.
