Birmingham City are hoping to sign West Bromwich Albion midfielder Graham Dorrans, according to the Daily Mail.
Dorrans has apparently fallen out of favour under Tony Pulis, with the Baggies new boss said to be happy to allow him to leave.
The central midfielder was last seen coming off the bench against Everton in a 0-0 draw midway through this month, but his lack of first-team starts has led to rumours about his future beginning to circulate.
The stumbling block over the transfer at the moment is apparently because Birmingham want to sign Dorrans on loan, but West Brom are hoping to offload him on a permanent basis.
Albion are looking to raise some funds to allow Pulis to sign his top targets in the transfer window, but the Blues don't seem to have the cash needed to sign Dorrans on a full transfer.
Middlesbrough and Burnley are also said to be interested in the Scotland international but, similarly, they are only willing to sign Dorrans on a temporary basis.
Dorrans has made 21 appearances for the Baggies so far this campaign and if he does join Birmingham, it would be some coup for the Championship side.
