Derby v Blackburn - Match Lineup & Team News

Derby County West Stand

Here are the teams for the clash between Derby County and Blackburn Rovers this evening.

Derby County’s incentive for a win this evening is the possibility of drawing level on points with current league leaders Bournemouth. Steve McClaren will be determined for his side to put another win on the board and back up their victory in the FA Cup last weekend. Derby are the favourites going into this game, but it’s a great opportunity for them to show off and play some expansive and free flowing football in front of their own fans. Derby look to be in a great position with fewer than 20 games to go after the game this evening.

Blackburn find themselves 12 points behind the Rams despite only being five places lower down on the Championship table. They are behind Derby in terms of goals scored and conceded but a win this evening could see them move above Sheffield Wednesday if the Owls slip up. Blackburn will obviously be on a high after their superb win against Swansea in the FA Cup last weekend and they should be eager to try and use that to their advantage against a difficult opponent.
