Almost three weeks after he joined the club, goalkeeper Victor Valdes finally donned the Manchester United shirt in an Under-21 game against Liverpool at Leigh.
The Red Devils came away with a 2-1 win thanks to goals from Nick Powell and Patrick McNair, with Jerome Sinclair scoring for Liverpool - leaving Valdes to pick the ball out of the net on his debut.
The World Cup winner joined United on a free transfer earlier this month, having been without a club for six months since leaving Barcelona.
The Spaniard will now backup his compatriot David De Gea at Old Trafford, but the runout will have been valuable for the 33-year-old as he looks to gain match fitness - even if it's unlikely that he'll be needed anytime soon given De Gea's performances this season.
Nevertheless, having an able backup will add competition for places, and push De Gea to improve even more, whilst Valdes is able to work under his former Barcelona boss Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford.
After tonight's game, Valdes took to Twitter to celebrate the win but also commemorate his first game for United, even if it was only at Under-21 level.
