Tottenham Hotspur loanee Alex Pritchard has been speaking to Brentford’s official club website following his match-winning contribution at the weekend.
The 21-year-old is on loan at the Championship side for the season, where he has impressed thus far, scoring five goals and providing five assists in 27 appearances.
The attacking midfielder was at it again on Saturday, scoring what proved to be the winner in a 2-1 victory against Norwich City.
Pritchard netted from the penalty spot with 19 minutes of normal-time remaining, and that win ensured Brentford climbed up to fourth in the table, just two points behind current leaders Bournemouth.
Speaking after the match, the Tottenham loanee said, “This is a big win for us.
“We have to keep working hard in training and take it into games. You have to take risks in this league. They paid off for us today.”
Pritchard is highly-rated at White Hart Lane and it would be surprising if he was not ultimately given the chance to show Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino what he can do up close.
The Spurs boss has already showed faith in the likes of Nabil Bentaleb, Ryan Mason and Harry Kane and Pritchard’s form suggests he could be on the same trajectory.
