The Germany defender has been linked with a move to Manchester United in the January transfer window.
The Germany defender has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in recent times, with him reportedly high on manager Louis van Gaal’s list of transfer targets according to the Telegraph.
The Dutchman may look to strengthen his squad in the January transfer window, with the defence in need of particular reinforcement, as United look to secure a return to the Champions League at the first time of asking.
Hummels could be a logical target and several of Dortmund’s other prize assets, such as German winger Marco Reus, have also been linked with moves away by the Mirror, as their side currently struggle at the bottom of the league.
However, as Dortmund are set to return from their winter break, Hummels insists that the entire squad is focused on getting out of the relegation places and are ignoring any talk about their futures at the club.
"It's not the case with any of us that this has been written for the first time,” Hummels told Bild.
“And with me rumours are always going around, but I'm still here. I'll let everything come to me and just look forward to the restart [of the Bundesliga] at Leverkusen. Everything else, I'm not thinking about."
