Having moved to the San Siro at the start of the campaign, with his Southampton career blighted by a training ground bust-up with Jose Fonte last term, the 29-year-old started well in Italy. However, his temper got the better of him during a game at the start of this month, and a coming together with Mauro Icardi has seen him cast out of Roberto Mancini’s side.
He has since be linked with a transfer to QPR, and the TMW report suggests that all three clubs involved in the deal have come to an agreement to see him return to the Premier League, only turning out in West London this season.
However, the same article also claims that, whist an agreement has been confirmed, Osvaldo himself is not keen on the move, with a preference to sign for a bigger club than Rangers. A preference for Juventus or AC Milan is highlighted, but, as of yet, there has been no indication from either club that they are looking to sign the misfit striker.
With no further interest from the two Italian giants, QPR could turn out to be the only club willing to take Osvaldo on loan until the end of the season, making a move almost inevitable.
