The Daily Mail are reporting that Everton have been told by Dnipro that Yevhen Konoplyanka is more likely to sign for Tottenham Hotspur.
The Toffees have been hopeful of completing a deal for Konoplyanka before the close of the January transfer window, but it seems that the Ukrainian winger has already made up his mind about his future.
Tottenham have been long-term admirers, with their interest reported by the Daily Express, and Dnipro's message to Everton appears to suggest that they have landed their man.
Spurs are apparently likely to sign Konoplyanka in the summer, when he is a free-agent, rather than paying a fee now to complete the transfer this month.
If he does arrive at White Hart Lane he will be an exciting addition to a squad that is making progress under Mauricio Pochettino's stewardship.
Spurs have shown great improvement in recent months and bringing in Konoplyanka will only raise their standards even further.
The Ukrainian has all the ability to fit in well with Tottenham's system, with his pace and direct running making him a threat to defences across the Premier League.
Konoplyanka has scored 32 times in 149 appearances at Dnipro and if he does move to Tottenham, then it will be the first time that he has played outside of his homeland during his career so far.
