Manchester City morning round-up: Bid encouraged for Pogba, duo could return

A round up of news this morning related to Manchester City.

The Daily Star has reported a claim from Juventus chief Massimiliano Allegri that Frenchman Paul Pogba could be available.

City are reported as one of the sides to have an interest in the high profile midfielder along with Chelsea and Manchester United.

Allegri has simply said that every player has his price.

The Daily Express claims Manchester City duo Yaya Toure and Wilfried Bony could be back in time for the Premier League game against Chelsea.

The pair have been away at the African Cup of Nations playing for the Ivory Coast.

Their country will be out of the tournament if they lose a match against Cameroon this Wednesday after a poor start to the tournament.

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has told the Independent that the club’s defeat to Middlesbrough in the FA Cup was nothing to do with a flight from Abu Dhabi.

City returned from a warm weather training trip just 19 hours before their game against Middlesbrough according to the paper.

However, the City boss says the loss had nothing to do with the seven hour return leg of the journey.
