Manchester City winger Jesus Navas has been speaking ahead of the club’s Premier League match against Chelsea on Saturday.

In comments published by the Manchester Evening News, Navas said, “We need to go there with the maximum attitude.

“We need to work hard because it’s going to be a very important match and we will try to get the victory.

“I think it will be a beautiful match between two very big teams and I hope it will be a great football match.”

Reigning Premier League champions City are currently second in the table, five points behind leaders Chelsea, meaning the weekend fixture is a bona fide six-pointer.

If City lose they will fall eight points behind Jose Mourinho’s men but win and there will be all to play for in 2015.

In other news, ESPN has published comments from Swansea City director John van Zweden regarding the Blues’ new striker Wilfried Bony.

The Ivorian striker agreed to his big-money move to the Etihad Stadium earlier this month, but van Zweden believes he is going to be a very expensive substitute.

“We will miss the goals from Wilfried Bony a lot,” he said. “The most frustrating thing is that he will sit on the Manchester City bench.”

Only time will tell if that is the case or not, but when you consider Bony’s goal-scoring ability he is sure to give manager Manuel Pellegrini another wonderful option up front.
