More footage of the upcoming Pokemon fighting game is online

Pokken Tournament Screen 1

New Pokken Tournament footage has emerged online during a livestream event.

It was almost half a year ago that we heard the news that a Pokemon fighting game from the Tekken creators was in development from Bandai Namco Games and The Pokemon Company. And now some new footage has been shown.

The footage is from a livestream hosted by Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, and they had Tekken boss Katsuhiro Harada on hand too.

The footage shows battles between various Pokemon, as well as announcements for some that will appear in the game, along with an unveiling of the arcade machines.

Pokken Tournament is being tested in arcades in certain locations in Japan this weekend, with its launch scheduled some time this year in the country. There is no word on its release for consoles yet.

Check out a recording of the livestream from YouTuber MaxEzzy below - warning, some profanities are involved.

Thanks, Eurogamer.
