Swansea City manager Garry Monk has rubbished claims of a move for Jordan Rhodes, according to Wales Online.
Reports claimed that the Swans had opened talks over an £11 million move for the Blackburn forward, as they look to replace Wilfried Bony - who has joined Manchester City in a £30m deal.
However, Monk, who saw his side defeated 3-1 by Rhodes’ current club in the FA Cup on Saturday, has rubbished claims he is set to try and bring the Scotland forward to the Liberty Stadium before the end of the January transfer window.
“I've already said I don't want another striker,” said Monk.
“I don't know where that [Rhodes] has come from; it's ridiculous. He's not been on our radar at all."
One transfer that has been complete, though, is the loan move of Jazz Richards, who has joined Championship side Fulham on a one-month deal. The 23-year-old has made ten appearances under Monk this season, with the last coming in the 6-2 win over Tranmere Rovers in the FA Cup.
Richards has spent time away from the Liberty with Crystal Palace and Huddersfield Town before this recent loan move and will be available for next weekend’s Championship game against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.
He joins Kit Symons' side with them currently tenth in the table on 34 points following their 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night.
