The Everton forward has completed his move to Italy and is expected to be presented tomorrow.
Sampdoria have completed the signing of Everton forward Samuel Eto’o, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The forward has been pictured wearing the club's kit by their official Twitter account, and is expected to be presented to the Sampdoria crowd ahead of Sunday’s Serie A match at home to Palermo.
However, the Sampdoria manager has said his players must not get caught up in the atmosphere that will be generated by their latest signing, with the capture of the former Barcelona, Inter and Chelsea man likely to cause great excitement among the fans.
"Party, what party?" he said.
"Eto'o is joining this team but he must not be a distraction. He's a great player, who has won everything, and that attracts a lot of attention from the media, but this should not distract us.”
Eto’o only joined Everton in August on a free transfer from Chelsea, but has failed to feature regularly enough in the first team to satisfy his desire for more football. That has led to him being heavily linked with a move to the Serie A side, who currently sit third alongside Napoli.
The move to Italy will be his second spell in the country after a highly successful stint with Inter Milan under Jose Mourinho before his lucrative more to Russia.
