Palermo midfielder Granddi Ngoyi was spotted in the Leeds United store earlier today.
The 26-year-old has been linked with a move to the Championship outfit in the January transfer window.
The Yorkshire Evening Post reported on Thursday that the midfielder “came onto United’s radar during the early stages of the January window and an agreement with Palermo for his signature was reached earlier this week”.
It seems that former France Under-21 defensive midfielder Ngoyi is indeed close to completing a switch from Palermo to Leeds, as he was caught on camera in the West Yorkshire outfit’s club store today.
Given the transfer embargo on Leeds, the former Premier League club will be able to sign Ngoyi only on loan from Palermo until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old has a good reputation, having started his professional career with French giants Paris Saint-Germain before going on to play for Troyes.
Ngoyi joined Palermo in the summer of 2013 and helped the Sicilian club gain promotion from Serie B to Serie A last season.
