The Portuguese winger has big hopes for the young kid.
Manchester United winger Nani has certainly been in good form since getting a loan move to his boyhood club Sporting Lisbon in the summer. The Portuguese international struggled for form in his last two seasons at Old Trafford and Louis van Gaal was happy to send him on his way to Portugal as a sweetener for Marcos Rojo.
Nani is however still officially a Manchester United player and he clearly has a vested interest in the future of the club. At least, that is what his Instagram post from yesterday would suggest.
He is touting a young Portuguese talent to become a Manchester United star in the future.
Nani shared this picture on Instagram, where he backed Angel Gomes to become a future United hero.
The teenager, who goes by the name Angel, joined Manchester United in May 2014 at the age of 13. Gomes, who is the son of former Salford City striker Gil Gomes, has been tipped by Nani as the next star at the club.
He arrived at the club as a striker but on his Twitter account he now says he is a central midfielder.
It will be a long time until Angel has a chance of making the United first-team. But if he does remember that Nani once tipped him for such success.
