Tottenham Hotspur fans have an extra incentive to watch Friday evening's FA Cup game between Cambridge United and Manchester United.
Not only will they be hoping one of the strongest sides in the competition suffer shock elimination, they have one of their own to support.
Ball sent a message on Twitter the morning of the game, illustrating his desire to compete, rather than simply being happy with the opportunity.
Big game against Man United tonight in the FA CUP, let's have it!!!!!— DominicBall (@dominicball3) January 23, 2015
Remarkably, Ball's last minute loan was only announced by the club on Thursday, with the BBC reporting the prospect is eligible to face Manchester United.
The defender featured on the bench for Tottenham's first team in the Europa League earlier this season, although is yet to make it onto the pitch.
The 19-year-old has made eight appearances for Spurs' under-21 side this season, which included a 2-1 loss to United. He is on loan at Cambridge until the end of the season.
Just spare a though for the Cambridge centre-backs, who having longed for this opportunity, suddenly have extra competition for their places for the biggest game of their careers.
