Tottenham fans delighted... Swansea fans pleased; Twitter reacts to Kyle Naughton move

The (now former) Tottenham Hotspur defender has joined Swansea City for a reported fee of £5 million.

Swansea City announced the signing of Tottenham defender Kyle Naughton yesterday, ending the full-back's spell on the sidelines and - he will be hoping - giving him a first-team place at the Liberty Stadium.

The 26-year-old has joined Swansea for a reported fee of £5 million after six years at White Hart Lane, a spell that also included loan moves away from north London.

And Spurs fans, it seems, are delighted to have offloaded the defender - let alone received several million pounds for him. That does not go for every Tottenham supporter, of course, with many defending him and suggesting he is a better technical footballer than Kyle Walker.

A lot of Tottenham fans, however, deemed the full-back far from good enough to play for the club.

Intriguingly, though, Swansea fans also seem pleased with the deal. Notably, Gylfi Sigurdsson - played out of position at White Hart Lane - couldn't quite cut it at Spurs and has been a huge hit in Wales.

Naughton, according to many Swansea supporters, is also an upgrade on their current options at right-back. Could this be a win-win deal for both Tottenham and Swansea? Here's some of the best reaction from both sets of fans on Twitter...
