The Liverpool Echo suggests Everton are calm over the future of Kevin Mirallas.

The Liverpool Echo claims Everton haven’t blinked over recent reports Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Kevin Mirallas.

The Daily Mirror carried details of a potential offer from Spurs earlier this week, but the Echo has suggested Everton are considering their option to extend his deal by another year.

Mirallas is a very important player for Roberto Martinez’ club because he has the ability to play effectively in a variety of positions across the team’s midfield.

He can play as an out and out winger down either side of midfield as well as slotting in centrally to take up a position in behind the main central striker.

The Echo has even suggested that new talks have already taken place over an improved deal for Mirallas, which suggests that Tottenham Hotspur could be wasting their time looking at a deal to try and sign him.

Everton are also aided by the fact the player himself has voiced no intention to leave Goodison Park, which suggests that he’s fully focused on driving the side forward over the second half of the season.
