The Slovenian midfielder is currently sitting on the bench at Inter Milan.
Leeds United have made a habit of raiding Italian football for new signings recently and they are reportedly keen to bring in another in the form of Rene Krhin, but according to reports yesterday they are set to lose out in their pursuit of the talented central midfielder.
At the end of December the Daily Mail reported that Leeds wanted to bring the Slovenian international in from Inter Milan on a loan deal until the end of the season.
However Tutto Mercato Web are reporting that Krhin will be on his way to Spain instead. They report that, despite his wish to go to Serie A strugglers Parma, he is set to be loaned to La Liga side Cordoba, who themselves are struggling in the top division in Spain.
At 24-years-old Krhin is no longer a youngster and is yet to make a big impact at Inter. He has played for the club since 2007 after leaving hometown club Maribor. He spent four of those eight years at Bologna as part of a co-ownership deal.
This season he has played just 29 minutes of Serie A football for Inter and his last game for the club came in a three minute cameo against Genoa on the 11th January. So he desperately needs first-team football, but the latest reports will have you believe that will be in Spain - not Yorkshire.
