Report: Cardiff complete deal for Inter Milan youngster Tidjane Balde

Inter Milan

Cardiff City have completed the signing of Tidjane Balde, according to reports in Italy.

TMW have published the completed deal, indicating that the 18-year-old will join the Welsh club on loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy when the loan expires.

Balde has been linked with a transfer to the Bluebirds for a number of weeks now, with Wales Online publishing earlier this month that Russell Slade’s side were ‘near an agreement’ for him.

A product of the Internazionale youth system, the youngster spent the second half of last season on loan with Modena, with whom he made 13 appearances for their Primavera side.

The report suggests that the Championship side will have to pay €300,000 to secure Balde’s talents on a permanent deal come the end of the season, and, although he has yet to make an appearance for the Nerazzurri’s senior side, he is highly thought of in their academy.

Despite having a year-and-a-half left on his current contract, Inter look willing to lose their talent to Cardiff, and he is the second young Inter player to be linked with a switch to the Bluebirds this week.

As also outlined by TMW, goalkeeper Francesco Bardi has been highlighted by the Welsh club as a potential signing, and they are preparing to battle with Leeds United for the 23-year-old stopper.
