PS4 owners won't need a PS Plus subcription to play, but Xbox One owners will need an Xbox Live Gold subscription.

APB: Reloaded is heading to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 late in Q2 2015, according to an announcement from publisher Deep Silver yesterday.

APB will still be free-to-play on PS4 and Xbox One, although whilst PS4 owners won't need a PlayStation Plus subscription to play, Xbox One owners will need an Xbox Live Gold subscription.

APB: Reloaded is set in the fictional city of San Paolo, and players will choose to play as one of the game's two factions: Enforcers or Criminals.

Items in-game can be earnt for free by simply playing, but there is also an option to purchase in-game items, vehicles and other customisations.

APB was originally released on PC back in 2010 using a subscription model in order to play, however only months later the game was closed down. In 2011 APB returned as APB: Reloaded after it was acquired by K2 Network.

Since APB: Reloaded's release over 5 million players have installed and played the game on PC.
