Sol Bamba is now a Leeds United player.
Italian club Palermo have now confirmed Sol Bamba has been loaned to Leeds United.
The defender has secured a deal to the Championship side until the end of the season.
The Italian club made the announcement via Twitter:
The tweet translates as: "#Bamba To LUFC on loan with the right of redemption," with the second part of the announcement referencing another loan of another Palermo player.
There was nothing mentioned regarding Palermo midfielder Granddi Ngoyi, who has also been tipped by the Yorkshire Evening Post, to complete a loan deal.
Leeds sporting director Nicola Salerno dropped a huge hint regarding both players yesterday, when he tweeted a photo of both, with the simple message of 'good luck'.
Bamba has experience in English football, having been a former fan favourite at Leicester City, and he could provide useful cover in central defence. He also played in the SPL with Hibs, and played in Turkey for Trabzonspor before moving to Palermo last summer, but did not manage to break into the side.
Leeds have now also confirmed the deal.
