Derby have had a difficult week after defeat to rivals Nottingham Forest in the Championship, but Keogh believes the togetherness and unity in the camp is their best quality.
“We have learnt from the defeat and analysed where it went wrong,” he said.
“We have got a good set of players here who stick together. I know this group of players and I know we can bounce back from setbacks.”
The side are given a break from the pressure of the Championship this weekend as they host Chesterfield in the FA Cup.
It won’t be an easy game and Derby need to fall back on the togetherness Keogh talks about against a team, which won’t hesitate to put them out of the cup competition.
Derby will rightly go into the game as favourites but Chesterfield could look to get physical and try to intimidate key players in Steve McClaren’s team.
That makes it all the more important for the side to stick together and show unity in the face of any aggressive tactics from their opponents.
The Rams should have more than enough quality to bounce back in the right fashion and that will give the side something positive to focus on before their next Championship game.
It would have been easy for Derby’s players to let their heads drop, but they deserve praise for showing a collective spirit to move on from the Forest defeat in the right manner.
