Former Norwich City forward Iwan Roberts warned Swansea City off a move for Martin Olsson on Wednesday, in an interview with BBC Sport, with it suggested that they are considering a move for the Swede if Neil Taylor moves on.
The Guardian are among those to report that Taylor is attracting interest from Crystal Palace.
It has now also been confirmed that Swansea have tied up a deal for Tottenham Hotspur's Kyle Naughton.
That deal could edge Taylor towards the exits, with Olsson targeted as cover on the left of the back four.
Roberts would, however, appear to be correct in his calls for Swansea to stick with the man currently on their books, even if alternative options are acquired.

With there just one appearance between Taylor and Olsson this season, it is easy to compare the impact they have made at their respective employers.
Looking at the Opta statistics above, it is clear that the Swansea man has fared considerably better in all key areas for a defender.
Garry Monk may have to reconsider his transfer plans if he was mulling over tweaks at full-back, with it important for him to keep proven top-level performers at the Liberty Stadium.
