The 29-year-old Greece international is reportedly to join the Saudi side on loan with a view to a permanent deal.
That would mean Samaras's West Brom tenure lasted just five months, with the former Celtic man signing for the Baggies on exactly this day five months ago.
Samaras left Celtic for West Brom on a free transfer this summer and has found game time extremely hard to come by at the Hawthorns.
And, according to the Mail's report, new Baggies boss Tony Pulis is very keen to offload the Greece forward, as well as potentially other members of the West Brom squad.
As Opta stats show, Samaras is West Brom's fifth-least capped player this term, although he fares even worse in terms of minutes played.
And the ex-Celtic man's record is even worse when it comes to goals and assists - having registered none of each. That is perhaps a harsh statistic to judge him on, however, considering the fact he has only just played more than an hour of Premier League football in total this season.
