Fulham and Leeds react on Twitter as McCormack smashes in 35 minute hat-trick

Ross McCormack scoring for Leeds United

Ross McCormack bagged a hat-trick against Nottingham Forest.

Ross McCormack turned in a clinical performance to fire a first half hat-trick for Fulham.

Despite a Henri Lansbury brace, it was enough to give his side a 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest.

The Fulham striker had earned his rights to take home the match-ball by the 35th minute, and scored with three of his four shots at goal, hitting the target with each.

Strike partner Hugo Rodallega deserves credit too, setting up two of the goals.

It was McCormack's first hat-trick since signing for Fulham, but it was a goal glut which was at one stage inevitable for him.

There was a reason Fulham paid £11 million for the striker from Leeds United last summer, even if nights like the last one at Craven Cottage have been rare, from an individual headline-grabbing display.

The 28-year-old is now into double figures for the season, with 10 in all competitions and eight in the Championship. His value to the side is increased by his seven assists this season too.

After a tough start to the season, Fulham are now up to 14th, level on points with Nottingham Forest, five points ahead of McCormack's former club Leeds.

Here's a look at how Fulham fans reacted to his match-winning display
