Anthony Stokes has been linked to Leeds United, but shone for the Scottish side last night.
Anthony Stokes made his Celtic comeback last night, and made an immediate impact.
The former Arsenal trainee played a key role in the 4-0 victory over Motherwell, registering two first half assists to set Celtic on their way to a comfortable victory.
Stokes was playing out wide with Leigh Griffiths leading the line, who netted the second from his cross.
He is now able to boast of a solid record of seven goals and five assists in 17 SPL games this season, and eight goals and 11 assists in all competitions.
Stokes, 26, was linked with a transfer away from from Celtic this week to Championship side Leeds United, by The Mail.
His display last night however shows what a useful player he can be to the side, and his contribution is not to be taken lightly.
The only way Leeds can action a deal is as a loan, due to an embargo placed on them by the Football League on permanent transfers. For Celtic such an arrangement offers little, certainly while he is in the team creating or scoring goals.
