Brendan Rodgers gives team news ahead of Bolton clash, Rossiter involved

Rodgers addressed the media ahead of the FA Cup clash at Anfield this weekend, and said Mario Balotelli, Glen Johnson and Joe Allen are all back in training.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed he will make changes for this weekend's FA Cup fourth round tie against Bolton Wanderers at Anfield.

The game is sandwiched in between the League Cup semi-final games with Chelsea, which is finely poised at 1-1 going into the second leg.

On Saturday, Rodgers said that teenage midfielder Jordan Rossiter will be involved. Rossiter has already made one appearance for the club this season, scoring on his debut in the penalty shoot-out win over Middlesbrough in the League Cup earlier on in the season.

He told reporters: "We'll make some changes. But we want to win. We'll look at our squad and it's there to make changes, but not too many.

"Jordan Rossiter will be involved. We have some great young players. Academy has done a wonderful job aligning players to our philosophy."

Several players have returned to training this week including Joe Allen and Mario Balotelli, and Rodgers said that right-back Glen Johnson is available after a groin injury.

Daniel Sturridge has stepped up his rehabilitation and despite Rodgers saying he is working well, he has said the forward won't be available against his former club this weekend. Goalkeeper Brad Jones is still sidelined with a thigh problem so Simon Mignolet is likely to keep his place.
