Yorkshire media round-up: Redfearn on changes he made to help Leeds improve

We bring you the latest news from Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United.

Redfearn on improvements

Neil Redfearn has been impressed with the improvements that Leeds United have made in recent weeks.

The Whites boss has had to tinker with his tactics to try and help his side break out of their prolonged slump and he feels a 1-0 win over Bournemouth last night was a sign that things are getting considerably better.

"We’ve found a different way of playing, we’ve found that we can play with a bit of width," he said to the club's official site. "We’ve got some passion back into it, some aggression and some tempo, and players have come to the fore.

"It’s looking a lot better."

Rhys McCabe on trial with Birmingham

Sheffield Wednesday are allowing Rhys McCabe to train with Birmingham City, according to a report in the Sheffield Star

McCabe played for the Blues Under-21 side yesterday and he will be hoping that he did enough to impress, with his chances of breaking back into the team at Hillsborough looking limited.

Murphy defiant

Sheffield United winger Jamie Murphy says that his side are looking to beat Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane tonight.

The Blades could have been forgiven for trying to play for a draw against their more illustrious hosts in the first-leg, but Murphy insists that they will be going all out for the win.

“We are definitely not going down there to make up the numbers," he told the Yorkshire Post. "We want to try and win, and if not, just make sure we are still in the tie at home.”
