Report: West Brom tipped to re-open contract talks with Saido Berahino

West Brom are reportedly keen to re-open contract talks with Tottenham Hotspur linked Saido Berahino.

The Express and Star claims West Bromwich Albion will re-open talks with Saido Berahino over extending his contract.

The paper suggests the Baggies are keen on keeping Berahino beyond his current deal, which expires in 2017 (according to transfermarkt).

The England under-21 star has been widely linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur in the mainstream press, with the Mirror suggesting earlier this month that he’d been offered to the North London club in a deal.

His form over the first half of the season has been superb and he’s made a decent start to 2015 with his current club so it’s no surprise West Brom want to reportedly try and keep him.

Spurs could still make an offer to sign him at the end of the season, if the reported talks turn out to be unproductive but if he signs on the dotted line, it could be a case of the one that got away for the North Londoners.
