According to a report in the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Naughton is undergoing a medical at Swansea City today ahead of a proposed move to the Liberty Stadium.
The report goes on to claim that, assuming there are no problems either with the medical or with the ongoing discussions regarding personal terms, a deal should be concluded as early as Thursday.
Naughton’s price-tag is said to be slightly lower than £5million and it appears he could finally be leaving White Hart Lane after 75 appearances for the club.
With the number of right-backs currently at Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino’s disposal, it was always going to be hard for Naughton to get sufficient game-time; and so it has proved, with the 26-year-old appearing only five times in the Premier League this season and only 11 times in all competitions.
With DeAndre Yedlin the latest full-back to arrive in North London, and following Kyle Walker’s return from a long-term injury, Naughton appears to be on his way, with Swansea set to benefit from a player who will surely want to show what he can do when played consistently in the top flight.
