Tottenham have enquired after Godfred Donsah, according to reports in Italy.

Tottenham are interested in signing Cagliari's Godfred Donsah, report Italian website Tuttomercatoweb.

The report states Spurs have enquired about Donsah, but are to face resistance from Cagliari boss Gianluca Zola, formerly a Premier League star with Chelsea, who is currently the manager of the Italian club.

GianlucadiMarzio.com also report Tottenham's enquiry, reporting Spurs are 'serious' about the Ghanaian.

Donsah is just 18-years-old, and only signed for Cagliari last summer, with the club paying £2.2 million to sign him from Hellas Verona.

The central midfielder has made 10 appearances in Serie A this season, scoring once and providing one assist.

Donsah can play in a defensive holding role as well as a more box-to-box role, and is also capable of playing at right-back.

His goal and assist have come in his last two games, beginning to flourish under Zola who was only appointed last month.
