The Welshman has been in great scoring form recently.
Wolverhampton Wanderers are on a run of good form at the moment. Unbeaten in their last six Championship games they are climbing back up toward the play-off spots after a horrible run of five, some of which heavy, defeats in a row in November and December.
Partly to thank for their good current streak is midfielder David Edwards who has been in terrific form for Wolves of late. He has scored four goals in his last three games for the club against Blackburn, Fulham and Blackpool and has now spoken to the official Wolves website about his form, and his goal target for the current campaign:
“I had a barren spell up to Christmas in November and December so it’s been good to get back on the scoresheet.
“I’m in the mood where I think I’m going to get chances and think I’m going to score every week.
“I’m very confident at the moment and hopefully that shows in my football.
“It’s paying off for me at the moment and I want to get to double figures for the season.”
Wolves fans would certainly welcome double figures from the Welsh international. He is currently on six goals for the club this season, with strikes against Wigan and Norwich earlier in the campaign adding to his excellent recent form.
Last season Edwards managed just the nine goals, one goal shy of his target for the new campaign. A goal in Wolves next match against troubled Charlton Athletic will take him just three away from meeting it this time around.
