Determined Leigh Griffiths reveals simple Celtic aim

Celtic

The Celtic forward scored during the 4-0 win over Motherwell last night.

Leigh Griffiths loves everything about his current club and wants to keep his place in Ronny Deila's side, according to Celtic's official Twitter feed.

Griffiths netted during Celtic's 4-0 triumph against Motherwell last night and was in a positive frame of mind after the win.

Indeed, he told reporters that he loves playing for the Bhoys and aims simply to keep playing - and scoring - for Deila's side.

Virgil van Dijk opened the scoring for Celtic on a night they returned to the top of the SPL, before Griffiths netted and substitute Mikael Lustig doubled the Hoops' tally with two goals of his own.

Deila's men are now a point above second-placed Aberdeen with a game in hand over the Dons.

The win over Motherwell, meanwhile, was Celtic's third out of three games in 2015. As for Griffiths, the forward is setting himself up for a rather good calendar year from a personal point of view.
