Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge gave his snap verdict on Liverpool's performance against Chelsea - And he was highly impressed.
Summing up his feelings in just four words, he made it clear he was impressed with the display, describing it as 'class'.
Team looked class tonight!!— Daniel Sturridge (@D_Sturridge) January 20, 2015
The Capital One Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Chelsea ended 1-1, with Raheem Sterling's goal cancelling out a first half penalty from Eden Hazard.
Liverpool dominated the game, attempting 19 shots compared to Chelsea's two, denied by the outstanding Thibaut Courtois.
The match showed once again how Liverpool are in need of a top level striker, and that is exactly what Daniel Sturridge was last season.
He played only three games this campaign before picking up an injury and suffering setbacks in his recovery, but is finally back in first team training.
Next Tuesday's second leg has everything to play for, and while that may again be too soon for Sturridge, he will hope surely to be involved if Liverpool topple Chelsea and reach the final at Wembley.
