Chelsea struggler Marko Marin reveals talks with Eden Hazard before Anderlecht move

The German international has joined Anderlecht on loan until the end of the season.

This week saw Chelsea flop Marko Marin agree yet another loan deal away from the club. He has agreed to join Belgian side Anderlecht in their fight for Belgian Pro League glory until the end of the current season.

He has also admitted a pair of Chelsea siblings helped him make the move. He says he spoke to the Hazard brothers, Eden and Thorgan, about a move to Belgium. In a press conference after the move was completed report that he stated:

"Now I want to concentrate on Anderlecht. I know the Belgian league a bit, because I talked to Chelsea's Eden Hazard often. His brother Thorgan [as well] since he was on loan to Zulte Waregem."

Marin's Chelsea career has been full of ups and downs. He spent last season on loan at Sevilla after failing to establish himself at Chelsea through a heap of injury problems.

He impressed in Spain at the start of the season but unfortunately, once again, fitness issues were a stumbling block. Hamstring injuries held him back to just 25 appearances in 2013-14.

He started this season at Fiorentina, but played no Serie A games for the club despite scoring two goals in his four Europa League turn-outs.

Now the player, once dubbed the 'German Messi', is hoping to recapture his best form in Belgium, insisting his injury problems are behind him in the same press conference:

"I want to re-grow to my best level. I've seen them play in the Champions League , of course, against Borussia Dortmund and in the game with the infamous comeback against Arsenal . They have a nice playing style and also the talk with the coach made me feel like I can be important here. "

"My injury is completely behind me. I train for some time and did daily rhythm in the European competitions. So I'm fit and ready to play immediately."

Chelsea fans will not begrudge him a decent second half to the season.
