Unfortunate news if you were pulling together the $400 to buy one
Yesterday Gearbox and 2K unleashed Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, a port to PS4 and Xbox One of Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel.
Also announced was a limited run of 5,000 Claptrap-in-a-box Editions which for the handsome sum of $399 would bag you the game with a collectable steel case, 12 exclusive lithographs and your very own remote controlled Claptrap.
If you were hoping to get one then sadly your chance has been and gone as it’s been reported today that the two participating retailers holding Claptrap-in-a-Boxes, Amazon and Gamestop, managed to shift the lot within the first 10 minutes of going on sale..
This means you’ll have to plump for the regular edition of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection which comes at the more modest price of $59.99 (Amazon in the UK currently have PS4 pre-orders priced at £47.50).
The arrival of Borderlands on new gen consoles is dated for the 24th March in North America and the 27th March everywhere else.
