Sony gives out PSN discounts after Christmas outages

PlayStation Plus members also get free extension to their subscriptions.

Following unforeseen worldwide network fails over the Christmas holidays due to blanket DDoS attacks, Sony, by way of compensation has gifted PSN users with a free 10% discount code.

Codes can be obtained via the PlayStation Store or the @playStation Twitter Feed and can be redeemed at the store checkout for a 10% discount on a single purchase of games, DLC, shows or movies.

The offer will run from 9am PT on 23rd January until 9am on 26th January, during which time you’ll need to redeem the code before it becomes useless.

PS Plus members will also be getting a five membership subscriptions which Sony will action automatically, emails about the extensions are on the way out to users.
